69th Gala of the Red Cross of Monaco

The 69th edition of the Gala of the Red Cross of Monaco, organised to raise funds for the humanitarian organisation, took place 28 July, 2017 in the presence T.S.H. Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene in the Salle des Etoiles of the Sporting Monte-Carlo.

This was an occasion for the Red Cross of Monaco to show its recognition of deep gratitude to its benefactors, whose commitment and tireless generosity constitute an immense and precious support. Catastrophes, misery and distress never stop increasing across the world; that’s why the Red Cross of Monaco seeks to bring its energy as well as financial support, as it knows the urgency of humanitarian action.
Thus, in 2016, 70,700 people benefited from the help of the Red Cross of Monaco.

The evening of the 69th Gala of the Red Cross of Monaco was punctuated by performances by essential artists, selected and invited by the Artistic Management of the group Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer.

To start the evening, the journalist Maïtena Biraben and the actor François de Cluzet drew the prestigious prize-draw.

Then the group Just Jinjer, one of the leading South African rock groups, got the evening going during dinner.
Then Christine and the Queens ignited the Salle des Etoiles with their biggest hits. The concert was followed by a scintillating fireworks display. Finally, Fading June, an all-female country music band, closed this exceptional evening.
The French accordionist and jazzman, Ludovic Beier also performed in the Gala.
Every year, the Red Cross of Monaco is presented with a work of art created specially by a renowned artist.
For the 69th edition of the Gala of the Red Cross of Monaco, the Italian artist, Pino Pinelli, created "Pittura R.B. 2016," on display in the hall of the Sporting Monte-Carlo.
