At the invitation of US Secretary of State John Kerry, HSH Prince Albert II will speak at the “Our Ocean” Conference hosted by the Department of State in Washington on 16 and 17 June 2014.
Over 350 participants (policymakers, scientists, experts, NGOs) will attend this Conference to address such themes as acidification and pollution of the oceans and sustainable fishing.
Other personalities equally concerned with these issues, like the Presidents of Kiribati and Palau and the Foreign Minister of New Zealand, have confirmed their presence.
HSH the Prince will also meet with John Kerry on 16 June in the late morning to discuss protection of the oceans.
As a Head of State, HSH the Prince has always shown his commitment to this issue for the purpose of raising awareness with both the general public and policymakers.
The Albert II of Monaco Foundation is particularly active in this field and supports over three hundred projects all over the world today.
