H.R.H. Prince Andrew, Duke of York in Monaco

Last Tuesday 7 November, H.S.H. Prince Albert II welcomed H.R.H. Prince Andrew, Duke of York, KG, to the Palace for a charity dinner to collect funds for Outward Bound.

Outward Bound is a British non-profit outdoor-education association with 35 schools around the world which organises outdoor activities for teenagers and young adults to foster personal growth and social skills. It celebrated its 75 years of existence last year in 2016.

The Monegasque branch of Outward Bound is under the duel patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.R.H. Prince Andrew.

On Wednesday 8 November, a rowing competition was held in Port-Hercule with four boats, representing English, Scotland, Wales and Monaco, vying for the Cup.

Each team was skippered by a renowned sporting celebrity: rugby players Daniel Luger and Ross Beattie, Australian cyclist Tiffany Cromwell and British oarsman Matthew Bennett.

On this occasion, the first Princes’ Cup went to the Welsh boat captained by Daniel Luger.
