H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, "Marraine" of the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince

On Friday 8 December 2017, H.S.H. Prince Albert II and H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, along with her son, Louis Ducruet, attended the closing ceremony of the Bicentenary of the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince at the Sporting Club's Salle des Etoiles.

In honour of the two-hundredth Anniversary of the Company's founding, the emphasis was placed on traditions passed down from previous generations and very much still alive today. And a new tradition was ushered in on the day itself. The Carabineers had no "Marraine" of their own, unlike the prestigious 13th Regiment of the Dragons Parachutistes paratroopers, sponsored by H.I.H. Princess Napoléon, or the 17th Regiment of the Génie Parachutiste, whose patron is none other than H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover.

It seemed only fitting, in light of her long-standing and deep ties with the Compagnie des Carabiniers, that H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie takes up sponsorship of the company.

The Carabiniers du Prince were thrilled that H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie accepted this great honour with pride and enthusiasm, becoming their "Marraine" and consolidating the existing ties between herself and the Carabineers, and lending the relationship a prominent platform.
