Official Signature of the Towards Monaco without AIDS Declaration

On Saturday 7 July 2018, H.S.H. Princess Stephanie, President of Fight Aids Monaco (FAM), Georges Marsan, Mayor of Monaco, Didier Gamerdinger, Government Councillor and Minister of Health and Social Affairs, Michel Sidibé, Executive Director of UNAIDS, and Bertrand Audoin, Vice President of IAPAC (International Association of Providers of AIDS Care) in charge of ‘Fast-Track Cities in Europe’, signed the Paris Declaration ‘Towards Monaco without AIDS’ in Monaco’s Town Hall.

By signing this Declaration, the Principality expresses its determination to pursue and implement new HIV prevention initiatives to reach the ambitious 90-90-90 UNAIDS goal for 2020 (90% of all people living with HIV will know their serological status; 90% of all people diagnosed with HIV will receive antiretroviral therapy; 90% of all people receiving antiretroviral treatment will have viral suppression).

Together, FAM, the Municipality of Monaco and the Monegasque Government adopted this new collective approach, including ‘Test in the City’ screening operations started by H.S.H. Princess Stephanie and Her Association and launched an ambitious communication campaign.
