Throughout her entire life, Princess Grace was keen to identify and support emerging talent in art, theatre, dance and film. When she passed away, Prince Rainier III supported the creation of the Princess Grace Foundation to pay tribute to her work. For 25 years now, it has been nurturing young talent, often in collaboration with well-known artists.

The "Princess Grace Awards" gala evening on Thursday 25 October was followed by an auction, with profits going to the Princess Grace Foundation-USA.

In 2005, the Foundation created the Prince Rainier III Award, acknowledgement of an outstanding career and also humanitarian work.
