The Sovereign Prince held a press conference this morning, during which he evoked the links that unite the Principality and the United Kingdom and described the economic and financial sectors in Monaco.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the Monegasque Consulate General, the Prince hailed "the efficiency, generosity and outstanding dynamism" of Evelyne Genta, Monaco's Consul General in London. He also expressed His "delight at the consulate now enjoying a suitable setting and the necessary resources to give fresh impetus to cooperation between the Principality and the United Kingdom."

The Sovereign Prince was pleased that "the British community in Monaco continues to grow. Our expanding financial market, our continuing commitment to security, and the presence in Monaco of specialists in British law, are all plus points for British citizens inclined to settle amongst us. In my country, they find not only opportunities for their businesses, but also a lifestyle that they cherish."

During the trip to London, two events organised to raise funds for the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation were held in the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
