During their warm and friendly meeting, the two Heads of State discussed economics, tourism, culture and the environment, and reaffirmed their common wish to intensify exchanges by establishing diplomatic relations.
The Sovereign Prince then went to the Monegasque Consulate in Tallinn to attend the ceremonial signing of a common communiqué establishing diplomatic relations between the Principality of Monaco and the Republic of Estonia. The signatories were His Excellency Mr Jean Pastorelli, Plenipotentiary and Foreign Affairs Minister for the government of the Principality of Monaco, and His Excellency Mr Urmas Paet, Foreign Affairs Minister for the Republic of Estonia.
The Prince then chaired a gala dinner attended by the President of the Republic and his wife, in favour of Dharma, an association that strives to improve child education and early-learning, aids their families, and facilitates the integration of adults in difficulty.
On the occasion of the dinner, the Sovereign Prince saluted " Estonia's initiatives, dynamism, culture and commitment to playing an active role in the modern world."|
