The World Water Forum organized every three years by the World Water Council in cooperation with the authorities of the host country, is the largest water-related event in the world.
After arriving by boat to the Sütlüce Congress and Cultural Centre, HSH the Prince has attend the opening ceremony for the Forum during which the Heads of State of the countries having organized the four previous Forums (Morocco, the Netherlands, Japan and Mexico) will speak after the host country.
Lunch will then be offered by HE Veysel Erolu, Minister of the Environment of Turkey.
In the afternoon, all the Heads of State and Heads of Government will meet to launch a ‘Call for Action' to national governments, parliamentarians, local authorities and the partners involved throughout the world. The Sovereign Prince will take the floor to evoke the stakes linked to water-related issues.
At the end of the day, a dinner hosted by HE Abdullah Gül, President of Republic of Turkey.
This mini ‘Summit' will provide an occasion to formulate recommendations aiming to guarantee the security of water resources in the different regions of the Planet.|
