H.E. Mr Luciano CARDELLI was accompanied for the occasion by Mrs Marie-Claude BIDOIRE-BUNFORD, Honorary general consul from San Marino to Monaco. After being welcomed in the Cour d'Honneur of the Palace by the Company of Carabinieri guard of honour under the command of Colonel Yannick Bersihand, Senior Commander of the Police Force, Ambassador Luciano CARDELLI was taken to the Hall of Mirrors by H.S.H the Prince's Chamberlain, Colonel Luc Fringant, with Mrs Marie-Claude BIDOIRE-BUNFORD.
H.E. Mr Luciano CARDELLI then proceeded to present his Credentials to H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince who was accompanied by the Secretary of State, Mr Jacques Boisson, Head of H.S.H the Prince's Government, Mr Georges Lisimachio and Mrs Mireille Pettiti, General Director of External Relations Department. After the ceremony, H.S.H the Prince held a private audience with the Ambassador in the family drawing room.
The Most Serene Republic of San Marino has become the fifty-seventh country accredited with the Principality. The Principality of Monaco and the Republic of San Marino established diplomatic relations on 26 March 2007.
Since January 2005, the Republic of San Marino and the Principalities of Andorra, Liechtenstein and Monaco decided to organize meetings periodically on international environmental issues.|
