H.E. M. Michel Roger takes the oath of allegiance.

S.E.M. Michel Roger, appointed Senior Minister of Interior by H.S.H Prince Albert II by Sovereign Decree of March 03 2010, took up office on Monday 29 March following a swearing in ceremony presided by the Sovereign Prince at the Prince’s Palace.

He takes over from Mr. Jean-Paul Proust who had occupied the post since June 01 2005.
Michel Roger, an eminent legal expert, was previously inspector general of the French National Education system, former adviser to the cabinet of Prime Minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin and, up until now, one of the seven members of Monaco Supreme Court.
A second Sovereign Decree, also published in the Journal Officiel of March 05, officially recognised his resignation from said institution, where he was succeeded by Professor Didier Linotte.
