On the occasion of the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games, in his capacity as President of Monaco's Olympic Committee and member of the International Olympic Committee, the Prince will visit Innsbruck from 13th to 15th January 2012.

On Friday 13th January, the Prince will attend the opening ceremony of the 75th Congress of the International Sports Press Association (AIPS). At 3.30pm at the Innsbruck conference centre, he will receive an award in recognition of his exceptional commitment to use sport to promote peace and social development throughout the world.
H.R.H. Prince Faisal of Jordan and the Italian athlete Fabrizio Macchi will also receive this award.

The Prince will then participate in the opening ceremony of the inaugural Winter Youth Olympic Games and the reception given by the President of the IOC, Mr Jacques Rogge.

On Saturday 14th January, H.S.H. Prince Albert will watch various sporting events and especially the downhill skiing featuring Monegasque skier, Brian Pelassy.
