The Sovereign Prince will undertake His first official visit to the Russian Federation from 3 to 7 October 2013. He will be accompanied by His wife, H.S.H. Princess Charlene.

Thursday 3rd October,
The princely Couple will have an audience with the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia, His Holiness Cyril, in the monastery Danilov and
the Sovereign Prince will participate in the Monaco Day Reception organised by the Principality's Chamber of Economic Development at the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow Hotel.
The President of the Chamber of Economic Development, Michel Dotta, will be accompanied by more than seventy entrepreneurs and professionals representing fifty-four companies and professional organisations from the Principality.
A diversity of sectors, including Real estate, Banking, Health, International Trade, Tourism, Environment, Art, Ready-to-wear, and Cosmetics, will be represented.
Jean Castellini, Minister of Finance and Economy, will also be present at these working meetings whose purpose is to develop economic relations between the two countries.

Friday 4th October, H.S.H. the Prince will attend the Ceremony of Exchange of Documents confirming the decision of Russia to join the Mediterranean Science Commission (CIESM), of which He is President, between Professor Frédéric Briand, Director General of CIESM, and Professor Dmitry Livanov, Russian Minister of Education and Science.
The Sovereign prince will then participate in the Wreath Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
In the afternoon, He will have a private audience at the Kremlin with the President of the Russian Federation, H.E. Vladimir Putin, before the official lunch offered to the Monegasque Delegation in the presence of both Heads of State.

T.S.H. the Prince and Princess of Monaco will inaugurate the exhibition of the Prince's private collection of Olympic torches and a gala evening will be held at the Bolshoi Theatre, where the Ballets de Monte-Carlo and the Bolshoi Ballet will give a single performance. Russian personalities from the cultural and economic sectors will be invited to attend this event to reinforce the cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Principality.

Saturday 5th October, H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince will receive the honorary degree of Doctor Honoris Causa at the prestigious MGIMO University, specialised in International Law, Economics and Journalism and with a student body of six thousand students. He will deliver a speech on the theme of the protection of environment and of the Poles to students in Foreign Relations.
That evening, the Sovereign Prince will offer a dinner prepared by the famous Monegasque Chef Alain Ducasse, in the presence of Sergey Naryshkin, President of the Duma, and Professor Dmitry Livanov, Minister of Education and Science, as well as a number of Russian personalities from the worlds of Politics, Business, Sport and Science.

Sunday 6th October, the Sovereign Prince and H.S.H. the Princess will be present at the ceremony of the Arrival of the Olympic Flame presided over by President Vladimir Putin before attending a dinner offered by the Russian Olympic Committee.

Monday 7th October, the Sovereign will participate in the Olympic Torch Relay.
