First visit by H.S.H. Prince Albert II to the Monegasque Embassy in Washington

Wednesday 26 September. H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco visited the Monegasque Embassy in Washington today, to meet Monaco's consular corps in the United States (New York, Boston, Chicago, Dallas and San Francisco). This visit highlighted the importance to the Sovereign Prince of international diplomatic relations and His desire to raise them to the highest level.

Prince Albert II said he was "delighted to be in Washington, because diplomatic representation at Embassy level bears witness to the Principality's determination to deploy the necessary resources to deepen cooperation between Monaco and the United States of America."

The Sovereign Prince concluded with a message for "our American friends. I would like the image they have of the Principality to be one of a country that is, admittedly, small in size, but powered by an unsuspected capacity for work, committed to the same values of liberty as they are, and open, just as they are, to the major debates of our day."

After meeting with environmental experts, the Sovereign Prince talked to the press.
