Monaco National Day 2019

Celebrations began on Tuesday 19 November 2019 in the Cour d'Honneur of the Palace of Monaco with a prize-giving ceremony and the awarding of honours and medals before the traditional Te Deum Mass in Monaco Cathedral.

Following this, the Orchestra of the Prince's Carabiniers performed on the Place du Palais before the military parade.

This year, H.S.H. Prince Albert II wanted to pay tribute to his mother, Princess Grace, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of her birth by inviting the American Air Force Honour Guard and its Drill Team.

The Orchestra of the Prince's Carabiniers also adapted its musical repertoire for the occasion to play American military marches and Amazing Grace.

Alongside H.S.H. the Prince and H.S.H. the Princess of Monaco and his sister H.S.H. Princess Gabriella, Hereditary Prince Jacques donned the Carabinier's coat and carried the Grand Cross of the Order of Grimaldi for the first time.

The festivities took place in the presence of H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover, H.S.H. Princess Stephanie and members of the Prince’s Family.
