Press release - Appointment of the new Minister of State in the Principality of Monaco

H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince has decided to make changes at the head of His Government. H.E. Mr Serge Telle will therefore step down as Minister of State on 31 August 2020.

The Sovereign Prince thanks Mr Serge Telle for his loyalty and sense of  State throughout the years of his mandate, during which the Principality notably pursued its economic development, reinforcing the solidity of its model of society. He will soon pay tribute to the qualities with which he fulfilled his mission.

Today, his mission continues in particular, in the fullness of his responsibilities, in the management of the health crisis and its economic consequences. Until the end of his mandate, they require all his energy because of the decisions that must be taken to enable our country to meet this immense challenge.

H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince has chosen Mr Pierre Dartout to replace him, he will take up his duties on 1 September 2020, on which date he will take the oath of office.

Pierre Dartout, former Chief of Staff to the President of the National Assembly and former Interministerial Delegate for Regional Planning and Competitiveness, is currently Prefect of the PACA region.

The Sovereign Prince expects Mr Pierre Dartout to direct government action, under His authority, while respecting institutional balances.
