Opening ceremony of the 6th edition of the Grimaldi Historical Sites of Monaco Meetings, and presentation of trophies to officials.
Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene, accompanied by His Serene Highness Crown Prince Jacques and Her Serene Highness Princess Gabriella, opened the 6th edition of the Grimaldi Historical Sites of Monaco Meetings, organized by the eponymous Federation, at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 14.
Created ten years ago, the network of fiefdoms now includes more than 80 local authorities in the French association and around 30 in the Italian association.
For this sixth year, three historic sites in the Haute-Loire (Polignac, Lavoûte-sur-Loire, Saint-Pal-de-Chalencon), two municipalities in the Apennines (Bardi and Pompiano), Ollioules in the Var, Villeneuve-Loubet in the Alpes-Maritimes, and Uzès in the Gard were honored.
After his speech, the Sovereign presented commemorative plaques for this edition to the eight invited mayors, as well as to the technical services of the municipality of Monaco and the Glénat publishing house.
Publisher Jacques Glénat presented a preview of the new comic book Monaco-l'Épopée des Grimaldi. Produced in collaboration with the Archives of the Prince's Palace, this work is published in French and English.
The Princely Family then strolled through the Village for a moment of sharing, meeting the exhibitors, who had come in large numbers to honor His presence.
