Princess Grace Awards in New York, United States of America

On Wednesday, October 29, H.S.H. Prince Albert II attended the annual gala of the Princess Grace Foundation in New York.
Created in 1984 in tribute to Princess Grace, the Foundation has been supporting emerging artists in theater, dance, and film for over forty years through grants, mentoring, and professional support.
On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Prince Rainier III Award,
the Sovereign Prince recalled that this distinction pays tribute to his father and the values he shared with Princess Grace: philanthropy, artistic commitment, and humanitarianism.
The 2025 Prince Rainier III Award was presented to director, screenwriter, and producer Jon M. Chu, recognized for his creativity, influence in the film industry, and commitment to promoting diversity and new artistic voices. Winner of a Princess Grace Award in 2001, he becomes the first former winner to receive this distinction.
Recognized for his remarkable works such as Crazy Rich Asians, In the Heights, and Wicked, Jon M. Chu has established himself as a filmmaker with a unique style, combining human sensitivity and powerful imagination.
Alongside members of Princess Grace's family and numerous personalities from the world of the arts, Prince Albert II also paid tribute to the winners of the 2025 Princess Grace Award, who perpetuate the spirit of excellence, generosity, and inspiration passed on by Princess Grace.
Since its creation, the Princess Grace Foundation has supported more than 900 artists, helping to reveal several generations of talent in the performing arts and cinema.
