Reception for athletes participating in the Games of the Small States of Europe

Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra: Monaco delegation honored
Yesterday, at the Oceanographic Museum, the athletes, coaches, and officials who represented Monaco at the 2025 Games of the Small States of Europe in Andorra from May 27 to 31 were received by the Monegasque Olympic Committee.
In the presence of H.E. Mr. Christophe MIRMAND, Minister of State, Ms. Yvette LAMBIN-BERTI, Secretary of State and Secretary General of the Monegasque Olympic Committee (COM), Mr. Thomas BREZZO, President of the National Council, H.E. Mgr Dominique DAVID, Archbishop of Monaco, Mr. Robert CALCAGNO,
Director General of the Oceanographic Institute, H.S.H. the Prince addressed the sports delegation: "Your performance is historic for the Principality. With 44 medals, including 16 gold, 13 silver, and 15 bronze, Monaco has never achieved such a result abroad. You have surpassed previous records and flown our colors high to a brilliant 4th place in the overall rankings. All those who, behind the scenes, help you to give your best. The Sovereign then emphasized that “these medals and rankings are not only sporting successes, they are also an expression of the wonderful vitality of Monegasque sport. Behind your participation is an entire community: your families, your clubs, your coaches, your managers, your teammates.”
The Prince also recalled “the values of unity, sharing, and surpassing oneself that these Games embody,” while already looking ahead to the 2027 edition, which Monaco will host.
