H.S.H. the Prince received in audience Mr. Maros Sefcovic, Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Interinstitutional Relations and Foresight, on Wednesday 28 September 2022.
In charge of relations with Switzerland and the United Kingdom, Mr. SEFCOVIC is also the political interlocutor of the Principality of Monaco in the context of the negotiation of an association agreement with the European Union, which opened in 2015.
During their visit to the Principality, Mr. Sefcovic and his delegation* were able to discuss with the highest authorities of the State about the issues at stake in the negotiations and to gain a better understanding of the specificities of the Principality, in its geographical, social, economic and environmental dimensions.
