Visit by Prince Albert II to San Marino

The Sovereign and the Captains Regent reviewed the troops before going to the Palazzo Pubblico to meet with members of the State Congress. The Prince then had an audience with the Captains Regent. On this occasion, He received the Grand Cross of the Equestrian Order of Saint Agatha.

Prince Albert II also spoke with members of the government, the Council Great and General and the Diplomatic Corps, and met the military authorities and the mayors of San Marino.

He meditated at the Memorial to soldiers having died in all wars accompanied by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in charge of the Army Militia.

He then went to Palazzo Begni for an audience between His delegation and that of the government of San Marino. A press meeting was held there at 1pm.

After meeting with the journalists, the Sovereign participated in a working lunch with the Captains Regent.

Finally, He visited the State Museum.

The purpose of the Sovereign's visit was to reinforce diplomatic relations between the Principality and the Republic of San Marino established in 2007.
