The Irish Ambassador to France and Monaco, HE Rory Montgomery, went to the Palace of Monaco on Tuesday 29 July to give HSH Princess Charlene Her family tree going back 16 generations. While the Irish roots of HSH Prince Albert II and His Mother, Princess Grace Kelly, are well known, the research undertaken by “Tourism Ireland” revealed HSH Princess Charlene’s Irish ancestry. Through Her Father, HSH Princess Charlene is descended from the Fagans of Feltrim, a famous merchant family whose members contributed considerably to the development of the city of Dublin in the 16th and 17th centuries.
