On Saturday 11 April 2015, H.S.H. Princess Charlene attended the 5th edition of the “Saint Devote Tournament” organised by the Monegasque Rugby Federation in collaboration with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation.
Twelve U12 teams from nine countries participated in the competition at the Louis II Stadium in Monaco.
The Tunisian team won the tournament while Lucciana took away the Saint Devote Trophy. The South African team invited as a special guest to participate to the “South Africa – Monaco Rugby Exchange”, one of the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation’s flagship projects in its “Sport & Education” programme, won the Bowl.
For the first time a “Tots Rugby” Session for 3 to 5 year olds was organised initiating the children to the sport.
In parallel, educational workshops and specially designed courses were made available for disabled young people for an entertaining introduction to rugby.
The children shared an amazing experience imparting unity and fair play.
