H.S.H. Princess Stephanie, President of Fight Aids Monaco (F.A.M.) visits Carpentras to sign the lease for the “Maison de Vie”.

The ?Maison de Vie? is a project very dear to Princess Stephanie's heart. It is intended to accommodate people suffering from HIV/AIDS so that they can recapture their faith in life.  The ?Maison de Vie" will offer a wide range of activities focusing on the individual including psychological support and group workshops.

Located in the town of Carpentras, the 1000m² ?Maison de Vie? (total floor area) will be set in grounds of 4500m².  It will be comprised of two buildings, one dedicated to housing people that will be equipped with a ten-bed children's dormitory, seven individual bedrooms and ten rooms with kitchenettes and the other reserved for reception and restaurant areas.
This will include a double dining hall, a multi-purpose room with capacity for 200 people, an infirmary and a laundry. 

The ?Maison de Vie? will be able to accommodate approximately 25 people and will be accessible to people with reduced mobility. Candidates for a stay will have their case examined by a committee made up of people from Fight Aids Monaco including doctors.

The aim of Fight Aids Monaco is to support AIDS sufferers and their families by providing both material and psychological assistance.

F.A.M. contributes to prevention by giving out information messages about the risks related to HIV/AIDS. It undertakes various initiatives such as those with schools, universities or even nightclubs.

The association conducts information campaigns for the general public, relayed through the regional and local press.

F.A.M. also carries out initiatives abroad where it supports the action of NGOs in Madagascar and Burundi in association with Monaco's Department of International Cooperation.

Princess Stephanie is the founding President of Fight Aids Monaco (2004) and a UNAIDS Special Representative (2006).
