Open to participants by invitation only, the sale will be held at the Meridien Beach Plaza Hotel, starting at 7:30 P.M. Roughly fifty works by renowned painters, sculptors and photographers will be offered for bidding. The sale will be organised under the auspices of Maître François Tajan, official auctioneer of the Artcurial firm.

The Gala evening and the auction sale organised in conjonction with World Aids Day are F.A.M.'s two most important annual events designed to disseminate a vital message concerning Aids prevention as well as to collect the necessary funds to ensure the association's ongoing actions: support for 150 affiliated members of the association and for several NGOs active in the fight against the HIV virus, both in the region of Provence and abroad (Madagascar and Burundi).

F.A.M.'s fundamental purpose is to inform and support people living with the HIV virus and to serve in the prevention of Aids.
According to the UNAIDS 2007 report, 32.7 million people are currently afflicted with HIV/Aids, nearly 2.5 million contracted it during the past year and 2.5 million died from the disease.
