On Monday 8 February, at the Monaco Red Cross headquarters, H.S.H. Prince Albert II, President of the Monaco Red Cross, handed over a cheque for € 6,000 to H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, President of Fight Aids Monaco.
This amount is the result of the "A light for Christmas", solidarity operation between the Monaco Red Cross and Fight Aids Monaco in partnership with Monaco City Council.
Launched on 4 December 2020, this action enabled an online donation to be made for the benefit of destitute and isolated people in order to illuminate a virtual tree during the festive season.
A total of 49 lights were illuminated on the virtual Christmas tree. The donations came mainly from Monaco, but also from France, Italy and there was even a donation from New York.
